Every year, Raleigh Orthopaedic proudly partners with the Carolina Hurricanes to support the Canes 5K, a charity event that benefits the Canes Foundation. As the official team physicians for the Hurricanes, Raleigh Orthopaedic is honored to help promote health, wellness, and community involvement through this annual event.
The Canes Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of children, families, and communities across North Carolina. Its programs focus on health, education, and youth development, giving back to local communities in meaningful ways. The Canes 5K is one of their signature events, bringing together fans, families, and organizations to support the foundation’s mission.
This year, Raleigh Orthopaedic went all out — not only sponsoring the event, but also showing up with team pride. We created a team of nearly 40 Raleigh Orthopaedic employees who participated in multiple ways. Some ran as registered 5K participants, while others cheered on runners as part of the spirit squad and handed out water along the race route.
The event took place on Sunday, September 21st, at the Lenovo Center, and it was an absolute blast. There were fun activations for the kids, a live DJ, a surprise appearance by a few Hurricanes players, and a pancake breakfast after the awards ceremony. Raleigh Orthopaedic is proud to participate in this event every year as it’s a fun and inspiring way to support the Canes Foundation and give back to our community.
