Dry needling is a new and effective way to treat myofascial pain in the United States. This treatment focuses on triggering the body’s natural healing response to send blood, nutrients, and healing chemicals to the part of the body experiencing pain. At Raleigh Orthopaedic, dry needling can be incorporated into an existing therapy plan or can be provided as a stand-alone service. The physical therapists that offer this service in Wake County are credentialed for Dry Needling in the state of North Carolina.
Patients looking for a painless way to tackle pain and inflammation can opt for deep tissue laser therapy at Raleigh Orthopaedic. This treatment, which uses a LightForce Laser, allows for deeper tissue penetration resulting in fast, efficient, and consistent results. Treatments can be administered in just four to ten minutes. The LightForce Laser generates a photo-chemical response in damaged tissue, which stimulates healing on a cellular level by enabling your cells to produce energy more effectively. We offer this service as part of an established physical therapy treatment plan and also as a stand-alone service.
We offer Normatec Recovery Boot services at both of our Raleigh Orthopaedic performance centers. The boots use compressed air to massage the limbs, helping to reduce inflammation, improve circulation, reduce muscle soreness, and speed up recovery. Athletes who use Normatec recovery systems are able to recover faster between training sessions, giving them a competitive edge in their sport.
Both of our Raleigh Orthopaedic performance center locations offer free injury screens for sudden or chronic injuries. When you come to see one of our licensed physical therapists or athletic trainers, they will provide expert advice on the best next steps for your recovery. If they determine that you are in need of additional care from an orthopedic specialist, we will get you scheduled and ensure that all of your questions are answered. To schedule a free injury screening, please contact us today by calling (919) 535-8845 (Cary) or (919) 876-1100 (Raleigh).
Those facing myofascial pain in Wake County can find relief at one of our performance centers, which offer myofascial cupping therapy. This therapeutic treatment uses suction to lift tissue, which decompresses the tissue and creates a negative tension pressure. This passive stretching of the tissue results in increased range of motion, increased blood supply, and increased fluid movement to the affected area.
Raleigh Orthopaedic proudly provides our athletes with convenient access to testing and evaluation to help promote injury prevention and maximize the effects of training. We offer Comprehensive Performance Evaluations, Runner’s CPE, and Functional Movement Screens to prioritize areas of concern and track training progress. We will incorporate appropriate corrective techniques based on the results of your tests in order to restore optimal movement. Please contact our team for more information!
Once you have completed your physical therapy and rehabilitation programs, our Post Rehab Training Packages offer a smooth transition into more intense training. We’ll help you prevent injury and improve your physical fitness through custom-tailored training sessions. These sessions include targeted strengthening, form and technique training, custom-tailored progressions, and further assessment and recommendations.
