For rehabilitation and physical therapy needs, no referral is required to see one of our physical therapists. Learn more about our therapy services and find a location near you!

No-Show and Late Cancellation Policy

Our goal is to provide patients with high quality health care in a timely manner. No-shows and late cancellations reduce our availability to care for other patients. Due to the high volume of appointments, we continue to enforce our appointment/cancellation policy, which enables us to better serve all of our patients.

Please note that a “no-show” fee of $150.00* will be charged if:

  • A patient fails to reschedule or cancel at least 24-hours prior to the scheduled appointment.
  • A patient fails to arrive for a scheduled appointment.

In the event of a no-show by a Workers’ Compensation patient, the patient’s Workers’ Compensation Carrier will be responsible for paying the $150.00* fee prior to the appointment being rescheduled.

Preparing for Your Appointment

In preparation for your first appointment, we have outlined a few instructions to ensure we make the most of your appointment with us. Please take time to review these items, as they are important and relevant to your care.

1. Arrive early:
  • It is best to arrive 15-20 minutes before your scheduled appointment to fill out any necessary paperwork. If you are a new patient, please complete and submit the online patient registration form prior to your upcoming appointment. This form should be available to you via your patient portal once you’ve scheduled an appointment with us.
2. What to wear:
  • Please wear clothing that allows the body part you are having trouble to be easily examined and/or X-rayed. If you are attending for a knee, hip, or spine problem, please wear or bring shorts to your appointment.
  • If you are having shoulder or elbow problems, please wear a singlet or a top that has few buttons. Ladies, please ensure that underclothing is worn to allow the shoulder to be examined with the outer garments removed.
3. What to bring:
  • Government-issued photo ID
  • Health insurance card and co-payment
  • A list of current medications and their doses
  • A list of any known drug allergies and any corresponding symptoms
  • Any and all previous X-ray, MRI, CT, or bone scans
  • Your referring physician and primary care physician’s name, address, & phone number
  • A list of your questions and concerns
  • Your claim number if it is a workers’ compensation injury
  • Patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
  • New patients: please complete and submit the patient registration form prior to your scheduled appointment. This form can be found in your patient portal.

Financial Information

All office visits are payable at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, and most major credit cards and debit cards.

Your insurance policy determines whether or not you have a co-pay for your visits; however, under most insurance policies, a co-pay is due at each visit.

Please contact our billing office at (919) 863-6920 should you have any financial questions or concerns.

Prescription Renewals

Prescriptions are renewed during normal office hours. In some instances, we may require that the patient be seen in our office prior to medication renewal. Medication requests called in after 5:00 PM on Friday will NOT be refilled until 8:00 AM on Monday.

Does it Matter What Physician I See?

Each of our board-certified and board-eligible orthopedic surgeons have advanced training in a sub-specialty. For instance, some of our physicians specialize in hip and knee while others specialize in foot and ankle. Our intuitive online scheduling platform assists you with choosing a physician relevant to your specific need. However, if you remain unsure about which physician to see, please call our office at (919) 781-5600, and our appointment specialists will assist you with choosing a physician most appropriate to your condition.
