Physical Therapy Specialized for Hand and Wrist Conditions in the Triangle

Hand Therapy is a component of physical and occupational therapy, designed to address injuries and conditions of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Our hand therapy team at Raleigh Orthopaedic helps patients regain or improve mobility, strength, and function using proven therapy techniques and personalized treatment plans. The Raleigh Orthopaedic hand and wrist specialists work closely with our on-site certified hand therapists, using state-of-the-art technology and minimally invasive surgical techniques, to treat a wide variety of conditions including:

Raleigh Orthopaedic currently has six certified hand therapists. In addition, Raleigh Orthopaedic also has four hand surgeons, Dr. Harrison Tuttle, Dr. Scott Wein, Dr. Joseph Schreiber, and Dr. Edward Jernigan, who treat patients using both surgical and nonsurgical treatments for common hand and wrist injuries and conditions.

Hand Therapy Services Overview

The Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic Hand Therapy department is staffed by six certified hand therapists across Wake County. Hand therapists are occupational therapists or physical therapists who, through advanced study and experience, specialize in treating individuals with conditions affecting the hands and upper extremities. A hand specialist has advanced certification as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT).
