Meet Dr. Eskildsen – Total Joint Replacement Specialist in NC

Dr. Scott M. Eskildsen is a board certified orthopedic surgeon, who is fellowship-trained in total joint replacement.

Dr. Eskildsen completed his undergraduate and master’s degree at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. He received his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, VA and during this time he was elected a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Eskildsen completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was presented with the William C. Patton chief resident award. After residency, he completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction of the hip and knee at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH.

At Raleigh Orthopaedic, Dr. Eskildsen specializes in joint replacement and reconstruction of the hip and knee.  While non-surgical care is generally the first option, his surgical interests include:

Dr. Eskildsen has published peer-reviewed research on topics including nonoperative management, joint replacement, and patient satisfaction. He has presented at local and national orthopedic and arthroplasty conferences and currently serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Arthroplasty.
