Meet Dr. Quinlan- Total Joint Replacement Specialist in NC

Dr. Quinlan is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in adult reconstruction and arthroplasty. She provides comprehensive operative and nonoperative management of hip and knee arthritis, including but not limited to osteoarthritis, inflammatory arthritis, and post-traumatic arthritis. She primarily specializes in partial and total joint replacement of the hip and knee, as well as revision arthroplasty.

Dr. Quinlan is trained in multiple approaches for total hip replacement, including both anterior and posterior-based approaches. She is trained in both navigation-assisted and robotic-assisted total joint replacement. In addition to total joint replacement, she has additional interests in lower extremity and periprosthetic fracture management.

Dr. Quinlan grew up in Blythewood, SC, and attended Clemson University for both her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science degrees in bioengineering, receiving multiple scholarships and engineering awards and graduating with honors. She completed her medical school training at the Medical University of South Carolina and her orthopedic surgery residency training at the University of Virginia. She then completed her hip and knee arthroplasty fellowship training at Colorado Joint Replacement, the premier orthopedic practice for joint arthroplasty in Colorado.

Dr. Quinlan has been extensively involved with orthopedic research since her time at Clemson University, participating in studies focused on improving outcomes for total joint replacement, and has received multiple awards over the years. She has published numerous book chapters and peer-reviewed studies in top orthopedic journals and has given many podium and poster presentations at national and regional orthopedic conferences around the U.S. She remains active in reviewing research being performed around the world and is on the editorial review board for the journal Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research. Additionally, Dr. Quinlan is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), American Academy of Hip & Knee Surgeons (AAHKS), and the Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society (RJOS), which supports women in the field of orthopedic surgery.

Outside of the office, Dr. Quinlan enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and dog. As a family, they enjoy traveling, being active outside, and college football.

To schedule an appointment with Dr. Quinlan, please call (919) 781-5600.
