Raleigh Orthopaedic is requiring all of our patients to wear a mask or face covering when attending your orthopaedic appointment, physical therapy or hand therapy appointment, or surgical procedure. This requirement is due to Phase One of Governor Roy Cooper’s plan to reopen the state of North Carolina and his recommendation for companies to maintain social distancing and/or personal protective equipment (PPE). Making wearing masks mandatory is Raleigh Orthopaedic’s attempt to keep our patients, family members, staff and physicians safe during this pandemic.
According to the CDC, cloth face coverings fashioned from household items or made at home from common materials at low cost can be used as a public health measure. Having your own mask or face covering will also prevent us from exhausting our limited supply of protective equipment. However, if you don’t have a face mask, one will be provided to you.
