With the warmer temps many people are lacing up their walking shoes and getting outside.  Walking is a great way to get in exercise and battle the effects of arthritis.  Exercise and strengthen the muscles surrounding the joints and the motion can improve range of motion and stiffness.  Additionally, exercise can also help to loss excess weight that can add extra stress to painful joints.  Raleigh and the Triangle have an amazing number of walking trails and areas to take advantage of enjoying the outside weather.

One way to get active and kick off the spring and summer is to join the CORE team for the Arthritis Foundation Join Raleigh Orthopaedic as we take a step to help cure arthritis at the 2018 Triangle Walk to Cure Arthritis.  Join others from around the Triangle on Saturday, April 28th for this arthritis friendly (choose from 1 mile or 3 mile walks) and dog friendly (dogs get arthritis too!) walk.
