Dr. Neil C. Vining Joins

Raleigh, N.C. (January 4, 2011) - Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic welcomes Neil C. Vining, M.D., to the practice effective January 31, 2011. Dr. Vining is a board certified, fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in pediatric orthopaedics.

Dr. Vining completed his undergraduate degree at Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina and Medical School at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with Highest Honors.  He completed his orthopaedic residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington and at the University of Washington in Seattle. Immediately following his residency, Dr. Vining spent three years as a military Orthopaedic Surgeon at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Landstuhl, Germany.  During his time at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Dr. Vining was deployed with the 212^th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital in Muzafarabad, Pakistan for three months, and again, in June of 2007, for seven months with the 160^th Forward Surgical Team in Asadabad, Afghanistan. After returning, Dr. Vining was the Assistant Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Winn Army Community Hospital in Fort Stewart, Georgia.  Prior to joining Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic, Dr. Vining completed a pediatric orthopaedic fellowship at Seattle Children’s Hospital in Seattle, Washington.

In addition to several research publications and presentations, Dr. Vining is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and is a candidate member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America.
