Durant Medical Center to Host Second Annual Durant Medical Center Health Fair

Raleigh, N.C. (March 25, 2011) – On Saturday, April 30, 2011, the medical practices in the Durant Medical Center are partnering to host the second annual Durant Medical Center Health Fair.

Children and families are invited to participate in this free health fair on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the Durant Medical Center located at 10880 Durant Road in Raleigh, NC from 10 AM-2 PM. The event is sponsored by Carolina Back Institute, Kamm, McKenzie Ob/Gyn, North Carolina Neuropsychiatry, Raleigh Ophthalmology, Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic, Wake Internal Medicine & Pediatrics and Alta Oak Ridge.

The purpose of the health fair is to encourage community members to be proactive about their own health care. Free screenings will be offered, including body fat percentage, blood pressure, hemoglobin, nutrition, pulmonary spirometry and sleep disorders. Attendees will have the opportunity to receive a complimentary chair massage, and Stormy, the Carolina Hurricanes mascot will make an appearance.
