Dr. G. Hadley Callaway is Accepted as a Member of the American Orthopaedic Association

Raleigh, NC (August 22, 2011) – The American Orthopaedic Association (AOA) announced that it accepted G. Hadley Callaway, MD of Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic as an active member of the organization at its 124TH Annual Meeting in June 2011. Dr. Callaway joins Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic's surgeons Dr. Bradley Vaughn and retired surgeon, Dr. Jason McDaniel in prestigious organization.

Membership in The American Orthopaedic Association signifies honor and accomplishment in orthopaedics, as well as the beginning of a commitment to active leadership in the specialty. AOA members work to expand an already prestigious list of contributions that benefit the entire orthopaedic community.

Dr. G. Hadley Callaway is a board certified, fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon at the Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic,WakeCounty's largest and most established orthopaedic practice. He was a Morehead Scholar at theUniversityofNorth Carolinaat Chapel Hill, and graduated with honors fromHarvardMedicalSchool. He trained in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine at the renowned Hospital for Special Surgery inNew York City. He has been a team physician for the New York Giants, the NHL Carolina Hurricanes, and for the USA Hockey Team during the 2005 and 2011 International Ice Hockey Federations World Championships.

Hadley Callaway, MD has held leadership positions in several professional societies, includingAmericanAcademyof Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Medical Association, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopic Association of North America, North Carolina Orthopaedic Association, Orthopaedic Research Society, Southern Medical Association, Southern Orthopaedic Association, and the U.S. Olympic Committee Sports Medicine Society. In addition, he has served as past-president of the North Carolina Medical Society and the Wake County Medical Society, and he has been chief of orthopaedic surgery at bothRexHospitaland WakeMed, inRaleigh,North Carolina.
