Dr. Neil Vining to Speak at the North Carolina College of Emergency Physicians Annual Conference
Raleigh, N.C. (September 15, 2011) – Neil C. Vining, M.D. ofRaleighOrthopaedic Clinic will speak at the North Carolina College of Emergency Physicians Annual Conference. The conference, to be held at the Grove Park Inn Resort and Spa in Ashville, North Carolina from November 7-10, 2011, is intended to provide state of the art practical clinical information for physicians, nurses, physician extenders, and paramedics on the care of trauma, cardiac and stroke patients, pediatric emergency medicine as well as to provide updates in general emergency medicine. This year's symposium features timely presentations on the latest information pertinent to emergency and trauma care. Dr. Vining was selected to address Trauma Care in the Austere Environment.
Dr. Vining is a board certified, fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in pediatric orthopaedics. He completed his undergraduate degree at CampbellUniversityin Buies Creek, North Carolinaand MedicalSchoolat Universityof North Carolinaat Chapel Hill, with Highest Honors. He completed his orthopaedic residency at MadiganArmyMedicalCenterin Tacoma, Washingtonand at the Universityof Washingtonin Seattle. Immediately following his residency, Dr. Vining spent three years as a military Orthopaedic Surgeon at LandstuhlRegionalMedicalCenterin Landstuhl, Germany. During his time at LandstuhlRegionalMedicalCenter, Dr. Vining was deployed with the 212th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital in Muzafarabad, Pakistan for three months, and again, in June of 2007, for seven months with the 160th Forward Surgical Team inAsadabad,Afghanistan. After returning, Dr. Vining was the Assistant Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery atWinnArmyCommunityHospital inFort Stewart,Georgia. Prior to joining Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic in January 2011, Dr. Vining completed a pediatric orthopaedic fellowship at Seattle Children's Hospital inSeattle,Washington.
