Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic Donates $368,894 in Medical Care to Project Access

RALEIGH, N.C. (February 6, 2012) – Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic donated $368,894 in medical care in 2011 through Wake County Project Access, a program of the Wake County Medical Society. Project Access provides healthcare services to low-income and uninsured men, women, and children. Many of the recipients of Project Access are employed in low wage jobs that don’t provide healthcare, yet they don’t qualify for Medicaid.

"We provide the most free orthopedic surgery to the less fortunate through Wake County Project Access,” said Dr. G. Hadley Callaway, President of Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic.  “It is another example of our dedication to the people ofWakeCounty. Giving back to the community is important to Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic.”

Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic has participated in Project Access since its inception in 2000. The project is managed and administered by the Wake County Medical Society, which is a non-profit organization.
