Physician Assistant

Full-Time Position - Raleigh Location.  Raleigh Orthopaedic seeks North Carolina licensed Physician Assistants to join our established team of mid-level practitioners and Orthopaedic surgeons in providing quality patient care.  We have opportunities working with fellowship trained Orthopaedic surgeons in the specialities of Sports Medicine and Hand & Upper Extremity. 

Must be able to work independently and be comfortable interpreting X-rays.  Requires appropriate certification and NC licensure.  Prefer 1 to 3 years experience but will consider new grads.  Athletic Training background preferred for Sports Medicine opportunity. To submit resume and cover letter, click here. 


Appointments Scheduling Specialist

Full-Time Position - Glenwood Avenue Office Location.  Serves as first point-of-contact in customer service and public relations.  Works to operate the central communications center for the clinic so that all calls are processed promptly.  Makes appointments for patients and maintains accurate and orderly schedules for physicians.  Prefer minimum of 1 to 2 years experience in medical appointments scheduling.  Bilingual skills a plus.  To submit resume and cover letter, click here. 


Patient Service Representative

Full-Time Position - Glenwood Office Location.  Prefer 2-3 years experience in a medical office setting, ability to work in a high-stress environment and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.  Must be able to rotate between our Cary, Raleigh and Garner locations as needed.  Must have ability to prioritize multiple tasks/demands and able to establish effective working relationships with patients, co-workers and providers.   Looking for an individual who is high energy, takes initiative and is well organized.  Must be able to work a flexible shift between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM. To submit resume and cover letter, click here


Patient Service Representative

Full-Time Position - Cary Athletic Performance Center:  Requires 3 to 5 years of experience with NC PT license and experience in Sports Medicine and manual therapy skills preferred.  ATC and/or CSCS certification preferred.

Athletic Performance Center (APC)

Internship. The Athletic Performance Center (APC) offers a “hands-on” internship experience for undergraduate and graduate students in any of the exercise/athletic related fields: athletic training, strength & conditioning, physical therapy, kinesiology, biomechanics, exercise physiology, health and wellness and other related fields. Athletic Performance Center is a recognized leader in advanced speed and performance enhancement programs, tailored to middle school, high school, collegiate and professional athletes.

Successful candidates gain valuable coaching experience, exposure to advanced training theory, methodology and application, all while working with many different levels of athletes. Students learn a comprehensive approach on how to systematically integrate each aspect of performance enhancement training: speed, strength, power, stamina, agility, regeneration, injury prevention and rehabilitation. Upon completion of this internship experience, interns will be sufficiently prepared to sit for any professional sports performance related certification exam. Candidates will also be considered for future employment opportunities or assistance with post-internship job placement whenever possible.

Qualifications
The APC is searching for potential candidates who are highly motivated, dependable, possess a strong work ethic, maintain a professional presentation at all times, own excellent communication skills and remain open to feedback in order to insure a beneficial internship experience. Client interaction is a vital aspect of our programming. Experience in strength (Olympic Lifting variations), speed, flexibility, conditioning, nutrition, etc… computer experience working with Microsoft Excel, Word and any other programs is also a strong plus.

Potential candidates are required to hold a current CPR certification and either possess or working towards professional certification. Preference will be given to those associated with a college or university program majoring in exercise science or related fields, however, other interested candidates will be considered when positions are available. Current TB Test is required.

Internship Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist staff in day-to-day operations of the performance training facility.
  • Assist coaching staff in warm-up drills, movement mechanics, strength exercises, recovery techniques, flexibility routines, performance testing & evaluation, assessment of body composition and data collection and monitoring of group and individual athlete programs.
  • Must remain a professional presentation at all times as interns are acting as a “representative” of APC (i.e., appearance, conduct, interaction with athletes, family, coaches and agents, effort, etc…).
  • Video recording of some training sessions and assist with video analysis.
  • Set-up, maintenance, organization and breakdown of any equipment used during training sessions.
  • Facility maintenance.
  • Completion of assigned project(s) due at specified time.

It is expected interns remain for the entire duration of their scheduled internship. Each internship lasts approximately 12 weeks depending upon the time of year. Housing, stipends, and meals are not included in the internship at the present time. *However, we do offer potential income opportunities during the internship experience and housing information is available upon request.
