State Approves Four New Operating Rooms
Raleigh, N.C. - Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic (ROC) and Rex Healthcare have received state approval for four new operating rooms for orthopaedic patients, which will be housed in a new ambulatory surgery center near the Rex Hospital campus in Raleigh.
The North Carolina Division of Health Services Regulation approved the application on Wednesday, January 28. The center, Orthopaedic Surgery Center of Raleigh, will be the Triangle’s first physician/ hospital-owned outpatient surgery center and will allow thousands of patients through the Triangle to get easier access to high-quality orthopaedic services.
“We are excited to be working with Rex Hospital,” said Bradley Vaughn, M.D., president of ROC. “This venture brings together two premier organizations who are partnering to bring more and better services to our patients and the people in the Triangle.”
“ROC is the largest provider of orthopaedic surgical procedures in Wake County, while Rex performs the most surgeries in the Triangle.
