Hand Therapy Splint of the Month - June 2008

resting hand splint
Purpose: Rest the hand in a functional position. Lengthen soft tissue/avoid prolonged flexed posturing of the hand following trauma.
Diagnoses: Arthritis, hand contusion, flexion contractures, infection, burn.
Advantages: Custom fit for comfort and compliance. Molded around pins, dressings or anomalous structures.
