Dorsiflexion Block Splint aka. Achilles Tendon Repair Splint

Purpose:        To protect repair by blocking dorsiflexion

Diagnosis:      s/p achilles tendon repair

Advantages:           Lighter than cast.
                            Removeable for hygiene.
                            Fits inside shoe/sandal.
                            Increased comfort due to custom fit.
                            Allows sensory input to sole of foot.

Can be remolded to allow for increase in dorsiflexion as the patient progresses in physical therapy as per protocol.
